​Project:  Emergency Services Station Refurbishment, Kent

 

This Emergency Services Station in Whitstable presented Astral Ltd with the challenge of delivering a comprehensive refurbishment within a fully operational rescue facility, where maintaining the services readiness and capability throughout the programme was paramount.

 

Works encompassed internal refurbishment to operational and welfare areas, replacement of fire-rated doorsets throughout, a full internal and external decorations package, and a boathouse floor refurbishment including resin coatings and drainage works.

 

External cladding repairs, rainwater goods replacement, and electrical alterations including lighting upgrades and emergency systems completed the principal scope, alongside access control and fire alarm interface works.

 

Careful programming and temporary welfare and storage arrangements ensured the station remained fully operational at all times, with scaffolding erected to all elevations to facilitate the external works.

 

The project reflects Astral's experience in delivering sensitive refurbishment works within live and operationally critical environments.
