The Road to Net Zero
At Astral Ltd, sustainability is embedded in the way we operate and deliver projects. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact while supporting the UK’s transition to Net Zero by 2050, through practical, proportionate actions aligned with our size, sector and specialist expertise.
We operate under a formal Environmental & Net Zero Policy and a Carbon Emissions Reduction Plan (2026–2030), focused on measurable reductions in emissions, waste and resource use. Key measures include a predominantly electric vehicle fleet with a full diesel phase‑out planned by 2030, use of 100% renewable electricity, efficient site practices and low‑paper digital working.
Our Supply Chain
Sustainable construction principles are applied across all projects. We prioritise local suppliers and labour, responsibly sourced materials, waste segregation and recycling, and energy‑efficient equipment. These measures reduce transport emissions, embodied carbon and environmental impact across our operations and supply chain. Environmental performance is reviewed annually as part of our management and construction phase planning processes.

Conserving the past, Sustaining the Future
Our extensive heritage and conservation work plays a vital role in sustainability. Extending the life of existing buildings is one of the most effective ways to reduce embodied carbon.
By repairing, retaining and reusing original materials wherever possible, we minimise waste while protecting the character and significance of historic structures.
