Community & Volunteering
We actively support local initiatives, schools, charities and community groups, providing practical help through volunteered time, labour and materials.
We are also proud to support our two official partner charities, whose work closely aligns with our values of community wellbeing, accessibility and care:

Sheppey Light Railway Greenway (Charity No. 1216304) – supporting the preservation, maintenance and development of the Sheppey Light Railway Greenway as a long‑distance public footpath and multi‑use trail for recreation and community benefit. Astral is a key supporter and organiser, with employees regularly volunteering time to support this important local project.

Santerpaws Bulgarian Rescue (Charity No. 1183401) – a UK‑registered charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs in need, while also promoting responsible animal care through vital neutering programmes.
