Astral Ltd has been appointed as a trusted contractor in support of the Staying Put programme delivered by Swale Borough Council, carrying out adaptation and improvement works to help elderly and disabled residents live safely and independently in their own homes.

Works delivered under the programme have included accessible wet room conversions, grab rail and handrail installations, and stair safety improvements — practical upgrades that make a meaningful difference to residents' day-to-day lives. Each project is completed with the occupant's welfare at the forefront, ensuring minimal disruption throughout.

As part of an ongoing contractor relationship with Swale Borough Council, Astral attended the Council's Staying Put contractors' meeting in early 2026, contributing to discussions around improving efficiency, managing costs, and streamlining delivery — reflecting Astral's collaborative approach to partnership working.
