​Project:  Caspian House, Bognor Regis

 

​​The project involved the comprehensive refurbishment of Gracelands Care Home to create a new, modern care facility for Pure Care Facility, to be known as Caspian House. The scheme was developed to significantly enhance the building’s accommodation while integrating de‑carbonisation measures and improving the thermal performance of the existing fabric. Astral Ltd was appointed as principal contractor to deliver the transformation, resulting in a sustainable and comfortable environment capable of supporting a new 16‑bedroom care facility with high-quality communal and operational spaces.

The works included targeted roof repairs, the installation of new gutters and downpipes, replacement windows incorporating double glazing, and an upgraded three‑phase electrical supply with solar panels. Internal works addressed water ingress and associated damage, reconfigured layouts to provide en‑suite facilities to all bedrooms, upgraded fire‑compliant internal doors, and delivered new kitchens alongside full redecoration throughout. External improvements included new and replacement boundary fencing and walls, upgraded access arrangements, and a replacement concrete ramp, collectively delivering a refreshed, efficient and future‑ready care environment.
