​Project:  Sheppey Hospital League of Friends Shop, Minster on Sea, Kent

 

Astral Ltd was appointed to carry out shopfitting alterations and redecoration works to the League of Friends Shop at Sheppey Community Hospital, reconfiguring and improving the existing shop layout to create a more functional and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

 

The works formed part of Astral's ongoing relationship with the Medway League of Friends, following the larger coffee shop refurbishment delivered at Medway Maritime Hospital.

The alterations encompassed a series of practical improvements including new client-supplied racking and shelving, a new counter hatch for staff access, privacy partitions forming a dedicated store room with walk-through aperture, and cladding to the counter front.

 

The till was relocated to a more central position, redundant under-counter appliances were removed and services capped off, and the safe was repositioned to the front counter. Additional electrical works provided new sockets and a speaker connection, with floor repairs and a full redecoration — including a feature wall in acrylic eggshell — completing the scope.
