Eltham Collage Pavilion

Project: Eltham College Pavilion, London
Eltham College in Mottingham, London, has been part of Astral Ltd's portfolio since 2003, with a programme of works delivered continuously across the school campus over nearly two decades. Each project was carried out with the care and coordination that working within a busy, operational independent school demands.
Astral's early works encompassed a series of teaching accommodation improvements, including alterations to the CDT and Business Studies suites, before expanding in scope with the delivery of a new Music Faculty incorporating internal fit-out, courtyard refurbishment, specialist glazing, and mechanical and electrical works.
A major Dining Hall extension followed, requiring significant groundworks and structural intervention, alongside campus-wide electrical enabling works coordinated with UK Power Networks.
The College Meadow Pavilion refurbishment and extension represented the largest single project undertaken at the site, transforming the existing sports complex into a modern training facility in preparation for the London 2012 Olympics. The scheme delivered fully rebuilt changing facilities, showers, officials' areas, bar, and new roofing — providing a venue fit to support athletes at the highest level.
In subsequent years, Astral returned to deliver a laboratory refurbishment in the Senior School Science Building and a purpose-built Deliveries Lodge at the school's main entrance, the latter providing a striking and functional new gatehouse complete with electric gate, automatic barrier, and full mechanical and electrical fit-out.
Taken together, this body of work reflects a trusted, enduring partnership built on consistent delivery across a diverse range of building types and project scales.
