​Project:  The Point Water Fountain, Canterbury, Kent

​The Point Project involved the construction of a bespoke Portland stone column, designed as a high‑quality public amenity and architectural focal point.

 

Works included full excavation and installation of reinforced concrete foundations, integrated service ducts, and careful reinstatement of surrounding Yorkstone paving to blend seamlessly with the existing setting.

 

The column was constructed in finely detailed stonework and incorporates engraved lettering, donor name plates, a stainless steel collar, feature LED lighting with passive detection, and electrically operated drinking water bottle refill units.

 

A stone plinth with drip detailing and a securely fixed sculptural ball complete the structure, providing durability, elegance, and weather protection.
